The majority of people join Wealthy Affiliate to make money online by promoting only the wealthy affiliate program.

It’s not easy to make good money online by just promoting one program.

People do not understand this. They compete fiercely to win the next referral to make a commission.

This leads to one side review, Wealthy Affiliate is not a scam.

You can use the wealthy affiliate tools and lessons to learn how to build an online business, but this doesn’t mean you will be rich. Wealthy Affiliate is a good training program and nothing more.

Wealthy Affiliate Complaints

I have heard many complaints from people that wealthy affiliate is a scam.

These complaints might be of great interest to you. I am reporting them here for your review.

Wealthy Affiliate BBB Complaints

Companies are not required to be a member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB). However, customers use the BBB to file scam complaints against a company for bad behaviors.

Personally, I don’t give much consideration to the BBB. But I know some people consider the BBB as an authority site. So, I include these scams complaints here.

The first thing you notice on the BBB website, Wealthy Affiliate is not accredited. This is normal as many companies do not want to go through the process of accreditation. The most important part is how the company responds to complaints on the BBB.

Complaints filed against Wealthy Affiliate at the BBB were quickly resolved. I visited the BBB and found a handful of scam complaints. All these complaints were quickly resolved to customer satisfaction. You can click here to view these scam complaints.

The BBB gives wealthy affiliate an A+ rating. It seems to me the BBB doesn’t consider wealthy affiliate as a scam.

Wealthy Affiliate Offers False or Scam Reviews

These complaints accuse Wealthy Affiliate offered false or fake product reviews to scam people into joining their training program.

However, after considerable researches, I discover that most of the negative product reviews are written by wealthy affiliate members, not the company.

Online reviews or product reviews are personal opinions of the bloggers. No one can control a blogger what to say or do on his own blog.

Many members are promoting the Wealthy Affiliate to earn commissions, not everyone will play nice. Some people will do anything to make money, even scamming you.

Complaints By Wealthy Affiliate Members

These are complaints by currently active members of the Wealthy Affiliate. I do agree with them on some of the rules in Wealthy Affiliate are overboard or unnecessary. However, they are not designed to scam anyone.

Free account is a scam

These scam complaints come from free members.

They claim that wealthy affiliate uses the 7 days free premium trial to scam people into joining the program.

The idea of the 7 days free trial is to allow people to explore all the resources available inside the Wealthy Affiliate training platform.

How can this be a scam when you love it so much an upgraded?

I got pressure to join Wealthy Affiliate

Some members claimed that they got pressured into signing up for premium.

I asked them who forced them to sign up, most of the answers were ‘my friend’ or ‘other members’. Well, not the wealthy affiliate.

I can tell you, no one has asked or pressured me to join Wealthy Affiliate.

I do receive emails promoting the program after registering for a free account to write this wealthy affiliate a scam report.

Wealthy affiliate revokes my privileges

Wealthy Affiliate promoting itself as a Spam Free community. However, the word spam is applied very broadly. It is very easy to get your privileges revoked for being spam with Wealthy Affiliate.

It is so strict that you cannot even promote the Wealthy Affiliate program inside this community.

Many free members struggle with this. They join for free hoping to promote their own products or services, no company forum would allow this.

I don’t understand what these people are thinking.

If you join a forum for the purpose of promoting your own products. them you will get ban and privileges revoked. This applies to all online forums, not just the Wealthy Affiliate.

Wealthy Affiliate offers fake rank

Wealthy Affiliate rewards active members with what they call the top 200 and ambassador rank. Many members compete for these ranks, so they are doing silly activities to earn them.

I don’t see the benefit of being the top 200 or an ambassador for the wealthy affiliate. It doesn’t pay. I don’t understand why this so important to some people.

When you join Wealthy Affiliate to learn how to make money online, who cares about being top 200. You should be worried if you can make money.

Monthly billing scam

New members as well as the experienced members’ complaint that they get scam with the automatic monthly charged even after canceling their membership.

I don’t understand why people didn’t delete the payment information or contact the credit card company to place a stop automatic payment. I always do this before canceling any recurrent billing. These scam complaints are a little silly.

If you read the BBB complaints, you notice that the wealthy affiliate refund the charge if there is a mistake. It doesn’t look like the company try to scam members. It’s just a billing error.

Above are a few Wealthy Affiliate scam complaints. I offer them to help you determine if  Wealthy Affiliate a scam or legit.

I suggest getting the free account to test all the tools and lessons to see them yourself.

The Wealthy Affiliate seems legit to me.

I agree that Wealthy Affiliate is a legit program and not a get rich quick scheme. It takes a lot of training and consistent work to do this thing right.

    • Yes Jeremy, affiliate marketing business requires a lot of patience and time because it takes time for Google to index your works, especially if you just start out. It normally takes between 3 to 6 months to get search engine index your works. This is not talking about ranking. If you have a good article you can have it move up in rank fast, but this still takes three months at least. Because of this many new affiliate marketers gave up and claimed it was a Scam. This is requiring a lot of hard works and patience to see success. It is not a get-rich-quick scheme. This is why Wealthy Affiliate stands out from the rest. Upon joining the program, your first task is training, training, and more training. This is the Wealthy Affiliate way!

  6. I am a member of Wealthy Affiliate but before I joined I was rather put off their name, it sounds a bit scammy to my liking. Anyways, since they offered a free starter membership I joined to see what the role entailed.

You are right, making money through affiliate marketing takes time to build foundations with a website, attract visitors and attain conversions – Only determination to keep plugging away will get you there.

I have found their business completely legit – the reason they offer a genuine try before you buy the package. This welcomes you to their platform to complete their level 1 training course and interacts with members where you can ask all your questions, at no cost.

For my concerns, Wealthy affiliate’s advantage relates to no up-sells – you are either a free starter member or a premium member to which the latter can be canceled at any time. The only other cost I have incurred regards purchasing a dot-com domain name which cost $13.99.
    All the best,
    Simon.

    • Simon,
Thank you for your honest comments on my post is Wealthy Affiliate a Scam or Legit? What interested me the most is that some people didn’t even give a free trial a chance. I just don’t understand this at all. Some people think anything that is free on the internet automatically a Scam, and you know what, most of the time they end up getting scammed. The thing for me is if I don’t have to provide any personal information, especially payment information, then I will give it a try. There’s nothing people can’t do if you are not giving out personal info. Never fall for such claims as they are a big company, anyone can do this. This one is a classic Scam; many people will log on to something that calls themselves a big company. Any legitimate company like Wealthy Affiliate does not have to claim this. They let you decide for yourself. They give you a chance to try their products and services. It is up to you to decide if the company is a Scam or Legit.

I have fallen for enough scams to know a scam when I see one. And one predominant feature of a scam site is you can get rich-quick-online. And that’s not what Wealthy Affiliate promises. They promise to teach you to make money online. And they are making good of their promise.
