J. Hilburn is a multilevel marketing (mlm) company that offers luxury custom-fit men’s clothing at an affordable price.
J. Hilburn was launched in 2007 by Andy Janowski and Veeral Rathod to offer men with quality and personalized clothing.
J. Hilburn sales revenue has been declining from $60 million in 2016 to an estimated $25 million in 2018.
The company sells its products through an mlm network of 2,000 active style consultants. The number of consultants was down from almost 3,000 a few years ago.

How To Join J. Hilburn?
You need a business mentor to join J. Hilburn. But it is not required.
If you don’t know a stylist, you can still join by visiting the J. Hilburn website, and the company will assign you a style mentor.
Your mentor will be your upline after joining J. Hilburn.
Your mentor is responsible to submit an application and help you select an appropriate New Stylist Kit to launch your J. Hilburn business.
Purchasing a starter kit is not enough. If you want to build a business and earn team commissions with J. Hilburn, you must be an active and qualified Style Consultant.
To remain active and qualified, you are required to meet the monthly sales quota, which I’ll discuss in the next section of this J. Hilburn review.
How Much Does It Cost To Join J. Hilburn?
The cost to join J. Hilburn is $199 or $500 depending on the stylist kit that you have selected.
Both kits include Essential Shirting Books & Suiting Binder, Measuring Tools, Accessories, and Limited Edition Stylist Lookbook.
The difference between these new stylist kits is: with the $500 kit you receive a Limited Edition Fabrics catalog, with the $199 kit you get access to the same fabrics through the digital medium.
Besides the initial investment, there are expenses to stay in business and receive the commissions.
J. Hilburn requires all Style Consultants to maintain an active and qualified status.
To remain active all J. Hilburn Style Consultants are required to order at least $1,000 every three months, approximately $333.33 per month products expense.
To qualify for downline commissions, Style Consultants are required to generate a total of at least $1,800 PV (Personal Volume) and recruit 1 active style consultant.
As you can see, the cost to join J. Hilburn is not $199. You must also include the cost to become active and qualified.
You must pay attention to the monthly Active and Qualified Expenses.
Any Style Consultants that fail to order the minimum amount required to remain active and qualified is not allowed to receive the bonuses and commissions from J. Hilburn.
Remember, the expenses above do not include your time, the marketing costs, travel expenses, and gas.
The active and qualified expenses can destroy your business profit if you cannot resell the products. They become business losses.
Other home-based businesses, such as Affiliate Marketing, you earn the commission on every sale, no need to be active and qualified.

As an mlm opportunity, J. Hilburn offers you two ways to earn: Selling Products and/or building a team.
Make Money Selling J. Hilburn Products
J. Hilburn Style Consultants assist clients with fitting and ordering their custom-made clothing’s.
New J. Hilburn Style Consultants receive between 10% to 30% commissions based on the monthly PV, personal sales volume.
Below is the commission schedule.
One disadvantage is you cannot sell J. Hilburn custom-fit clothing online.
You must travel to the clients’ home or office to measure and fit the suits or dresses before ordering.
This is not a home-based business opportunity, and you have to work on the clients’ schedule, not your own.
Make Money Recruiting Style Consultants
As long as you are active and qualified, here are your options to make money recruiting other J. Hilburn style consultants.
Downline Commissions
You can earn between 2% to 4% commission on your team sales volume up to 6 levels.
The downline commission is determined based on your rank and team sales volume.
The minimum team sales volume to earn a 4% commission on the 1st level is $1,800 PV as a Style Advisor. The PV will increase as you moved up the rank.
There are other leadership bonuses and incentives which require more purchasing of J. Hilburn products to qualify. You can refer to the compensation plan for more information.
As you can see, there are multiple ways to earn with J. Hilburn. But to get paid, you must order more products to meet the qualification requirements.

Can You Make Money Selling J. Hilburn?
