What Is Unicity?
Unicity is a health and wellness company that researches, develops, and sells a line of supplements that specializes in weight loss, well-being, and anti-aging.
The company sells its products exclusively through an MLM network of independent distributors operating in over 50 countries.
For a fee, you can join the Unicity Multilevel Marketing (MLM) opportunity to earn commissions as a distributor.
Unicity was created in 2001 by a merger of two MLM companies, Rexall Showcase International and Enrich International. The company headquarters is in Orem, Utah.
Unicity 2019 sales revenue was $215 million, down from $250 Million in 2018.
I am not convinced that you can make money with Unicity MLM for two important reasons:
- No current IDS report. This tells me Unicity doesn’t want investors to know the truth about distributors’ earnings. It must be terrible.
- You are required to purchase at least $200 (100 PV) of products each month to qualify for commissions.

How To Join Unicity?
A sponsor is required to join Unicity.
If you don’t have a sponsor, the company will assign one after you have submitted the distributor application.
Your sponsor is your upline (leader). This person earns override commissions from your business activities.
You and your sponsor can submit an online application to joining Unicity together with a purchase of a Business Pack to launch your business.
You then must maintain an active status to earn commissions.

How Much Does It Cost to Join Unicity?
The costs to join Unicity depend on the Business Pack that you have chosen.
Unicity offers the cheapest business pack at $40, and the most expensive is $495.
The Unicity Business Packs are:

Purchasing one of the business packs above will launch your Unicity MLM business and determine your commission rates.
There is also a monthly Active Distributor fee.
Unicity Distributors are required to generate 100 PV (Personal Volume) every month to remain active and earn commissions.
100 PV is about $200 worth of product purchases.
Distributors who fail to maintain an Active Distributor status will likely lose their business.
I hate MLM because of the monthly Active Distributor fee requirement. This fee designs to force you to purchase the overpriced MLM products.
Think about it. Why do you have to buy Unicity products every month for an opportunity to promote and sell its products? Unicity should be paying you.
As an Affiliate Marketer, companies pay me to promote their products on the internet.

Unicity Compensation Plan Review
Only Active Distributors can participate in the Unicity compensation plan.
Once you are qualified, there are two options to make money:
- Sell products to earn commissions.
- Build teams to earn team commissions (residual income).
Let talk more about these.
Retail Profits
You can purchase products at wholesale and sell retail for profits.
Your discount is based on the monthly Personal Volume (PV) generated by you.
PV are points assigned to each product by Unicity. You can purchase products to accumulate PV. The more you buy, the more PV you will earn.
PV is used to determine your discount and rebate.
You must purchase at least 100 PV ($200) to receive the first 5% discount. A 500 PV purchased offers you 15%, and 1,000 PV offers 20%.
On top of the discounts, Unicity offers you a Personal Rebate (PR) based on PV accumulate monthly.
You receive an additional 5% PR for purchasing 101 PV to 250 PV. If you have 251 PV or more, Unicity will give you 10%.
Product discounts and personal rebates are designed to encourage you to purchase the most expensive Business Pack when joining Unicity.
If you purchase the $40 Business Pack, you receive ZERO PV. You are not qualified to participate in the Unicity compensation plan.
However, the $495 Business Pack gives you 287 PV. This qualifies you for a 5% discount and a 10% personal rebate for a total of 15% price reduction.
I hope you can see the trick that Unicity MLM uses in this compensation plan to sell products.
Distributors purchase Unicity products not because they are the best or the cheapest. They buy them in bulk for a chance to earn the best commissions.
You should know it is not easy to sell overpriced products on the market.
The best option to make money with Unicity is recruiting new distributors. Because they are required to purchase products every month to stay in business and qualify for commissions. This is customer based.
If you want to be successful with Unicity, you need to focus on team building.
Team Commissions
Team commissions are awarded to active distributors that have met the following requirements:
- Have one active leg. This means recruiting at least one qualified distributor.
- Meet the monthly PV requirement
Once you are qualified, you can earn these team commissions:
Team Development Bonus
Team Development Bonus (TDB) is paid on the PV of your Downlines up to 5 Levels.
The TDB percentage depends on your monthly PV. A minimum of 100 PV is required to qualify.
Organization Bonus
You can earn anywhere from 1% to 5% of Organization Bonus up to 12 Generations.
To be eligible for the Organization Bonus you must have:
- At least 100 PV
- At least 1,000 TV (Team Volume) and
- 3 Active Legs.
Organization Bonus is paid based on the sales volume generated by your entire organization.
You can make a lot of money if you have a big organization.
Rank Bonus
Rank Bonus is rewarded to the Rank of Director and above.
You also have to meet the following requirements:
- At least 100 PV
- At least 1,000 TV (Team Volume) and
- 5 Active Legs.
Once you are qualified, Unicity will pay you a monthly rank bonus between $150 – $1,000.
There are other leadership bonuses, but it requires a big team with substantial Organization Volume (OV) each month. It is impossible for a new distributor to earn these bonuses. You can check the Unicity compensation plan to learn more.
I hope you can see that buying products every month to remain as an Active Distributor will destroy your business profits.
This compensation plan is designed to convert distributors into paying customers.
This is not a compensation plan for you to make money. It is for Unicity to sell products and make millions.
Can You Make Money with Unicity?
Yes, a small group of people at the top do make money with Unicity. This is normal with MLM opportunities.
It explains why 99% of MLM business owners make no money.
But, are you starting a business to make money or generate profits?
Profit is income. Income is what you take home. Without profits, your business will not last.
You are unlikely to generate a good profit margin with Unicity MLM.
How can you make a profit when you are forced to purchase products every month, even when you are not making a sale?
Is Unicity A Scam?
You can argue that Unicity is not a scam. This is a business opportunity.
However, after analyzing the compensation plan, it’s hard to say this business opportunity is not a scam.
Unicity doesn’t look for business partners. The company uses the ‘Home Business Opportunity’ to recruit customers.
Distributors are customers of Unicity. They purchase products every month to qualify for commissions. This is a scam.
I would not recommend Unicity to anyone.

I must say, Unicity is a scam. This company offers people a business opportunity. But in reality, they are forcing people to buy their products.
Is Unicity A Pyramid Scheme?
A pyramid scheme is when a small group of people at the top make all the money.
Unicity distributors make money through recruiting activities, not selling products.
New distributors must purchase products monthly to remain in business. Unicity uses this money to pay existing distributors as team commissions.
The more people you bring in, the more money you make.
People at the top of the team (the Pyramid) earned big incomes. While news distributors earned little or nothing. This is a pyramid scheme. Unicity is a scam.
You don’t have to agree with me that Unicity is a pyramid scheme.
But you can’t deny that the Unicity compensation plan is not designed for you to make money. It’s designed to sell products.
Is Unicity Worth It?
It is unlikely that you can achieve financial success with Unicity MLM. I don’t think is worth it.
Why do you have to buy products every month for an opportunity to earn commissions?
I have nothing against MLM. I just hate the idea of buying products monthly to stay in the business.
Companies should pay you to promote and sell their products. Why do you have to pay Unicity?
