What Is ACN?
American Communication Network (ACN) is a multilevel marketing (mlm) company that provides phone, internet, energy, security, and other essential everyday services to residents and businesses.
ACN opened for business in Concord, North Carolina in January 1993. The company was launched by Robert Stevanovski, Greg Provenzano, Tony Cupisz, and Mike Cupisz as a marketing arm for a long-distance reseller LCI Communication.

How To Join ACN?
To join ACN, you are required to have a sponsor. Any current and active IBO ACN sponsor you into ACN.
You can easily find an ACN IBO online, then registered through that website.
To make money and maintain as an active IBO, you must pay the annual renewal fee and meet the customer recruiting requirements to qualify for commissions. We’ll discuss more on these in the following sections of this ACN review.
How Much Does It Cost To Join ACN?
The cost to join as an ACN IBO is $499 for an initial one-year term. If you want to remain as an active IBO after the first year, you must pay a $99 renewal fee.
Besides the initial cost, there are other business expenses to acquire customers and earn commissions. These expenses include your time, marketing costs, travel expenses, and gas.
As you can see, the cost to join ACN is more than $499. You must meet the customer acquisition requirements to qualify for commission. Any distributor that fails to meet these requirements is not allowed to receive the bonuses and commissions.
The $499 is a membership fee to join ACN, nothing more. If you cannot recruit others to join your team or switch their services, you earn nothing.
Other home-based businesses, such as Affiliate Marketing, you earn the commission on every sale, no need to pay for a membership fee or recruit others to qualify for commissions.

ACN Compensation Plan
The ACN compensation plan IBO two options to make money, sign up new customers or recruit others to join your team.
When a customer switches their existing home services to ACN, you earn a customer acquisition bonus and the monthly residual income.
Earnings are calculated using a point-based system where each service is assigned customer points by ACN.

Switch Your Own Home Services To ACN
To qualify for commissions, you must switch your own home services to ACN.
ACN requires all IBOs to maintain 7 personal customer points from at least 3 services to consider as a qualified IBO.
Many new IBOs switch their phone service, TV service, and home electricity to ACN upon joining the program to meet this qualification requirement.
As you can see, the ACN compensation plan was designed to convert people into customers, not business owners.
Once you are a qualified IBO, here are your options to make money with ACN.
Make Money Acquiring Customers
ACN pays between 1% to 10% commission on your personal acquired customers’ monthly service bills.
The commission rate is determined based on the type of services that your personal customers purchased from ACN.
Each service is assigned customer points. You earn customer points when your personally acquired customers switch their services to ACN. The more customer points that you earn, the higher the commission rate.
Here’s the breakdown of your personal customer commissions:
Based on the commission above, the more services that your personal customers switch to ACN, the more money you will earn.
So, the best way to have a lot of paid customers is by recruiting IBOs. IBOs are required to switch their home services to ACN to qualify for commissions.
Make Money Recruiting Others To Join ACN
ACN offers from a ¼% to 8% of overriding income up to 7 levels.
However, you must be a qualified IBO with at least 10 personal customer points to receive override commissions.
As you can see, there are multiple ways to earn with ACN mlm. But to get paid, you need to be a qualified IBO.
This is how mlm works. Ways to earn is not the same as qualifying to receive the commissions.
Many IBOs earn nothing with ACN because the costs to maintain an active and qualified status might exceed the commissions that they received.
Can You Make Money With ACN?
You will need the income disclosure statement (IDS) to determine whether you can make money with ACN.
The IDS is a financial document that reports distributors’ income for the prior years.
Mlm company with high distributor failure rates or low earnings rarely publish the income disclosure statement. This seems to be the case with ACN.
ACN doesn’t publish a full income disclosure statement. The company only issues a warning that fewer than 1% of IBOs make money.
So, how do you get a copy of the IDS?
You can request one at the time of enrollment. The law requires ACN to provide you a copy together with the compensation plan.
If ACN refuses to provide you a copy of the income disclosure statement, don’t join.
But you don’t need a copy of the IDS to know that 99% of mlm businesses failed.
Why?
Because ACN disclosures this in their earnings statement, fewer than 1% of IBOs make money. This is the same as saying over 99% of IBOs will fail.
The reason you cannot make money with ACN is that the compensation plan was designed to recruit customers, not business owners.

I have to say ACN is not a scam. This is a business opportunity. Every business opportunity has risks.
