What Is Surge365?

Surge365 is a travel membership club, not a travel agency. The travel club offers its members discounts, rewards, and free vacation credits for booking with Surge365.

As a member of Surge365, every member has an opportunity to make money from home by promoting and recruiting others to join the travel club.

Surge365 was launched in 2015 by Scott Tomer, Coach Lloyd Tomer, and Chris Cokley.

Surge365 doesn’t provide any product or service. This is a membership travel club where members receive discounts, rewards, and vacation points every time they make travel arrangements with the company.

At the time of writing this review, Surge365 estimated sales revenue is about $5 Million.

Surge365 claims this business opportunity is highly profitable. However, I am not so sure about this after reviewing the income disclosure statement (IDS) from Surge365.

According to the IDS report, over 68% of Surge365 SBAs made no money and the average annual income of all SBAs was $433.78.

A business opportunity that generates only $433.78 annual income is not profitable.

This should be a strong warning to all investors looking to join Surge365.

You must carefully evaluate and compare Surge365 with other home-based business opportunities before joining.

You can use My #1 Business Opportunity to make a comparison.

How To Join Surge365?

You can only join Surge365 through a sponsor.

You can easily find a Surge365 sponsor online by Googling for a current Surge365 Small Business Associate.

Surge365 offers four options to start a business and make money with the company. Each option requires a different level of membership fees, which we’ll discuss everything in the following sections of this Surge365 review.

The Cost to Join Surge365.

The cost to join Surge365 is broken down into four groups: The Vortex, The Vortex Membership, The Vortex Platinum, and The Surge365 Business Associate.

The initial cost to join under the Vortex account is $ $199 and a monthly membership fee of $63.54.

The cost to become a Vortex Membership is $299 and a monthly membership fee of $63.54.

The Vortex Platinum is the most expensive membership with an initial cost of $499 and a monthly membership fee of $63.54.

The least expensive option to join Surge365 is the Business Associate which requires only a monthly fee of $19.95. This membership level offers very few rewards and commissions.

cost to join surge 365

If you want to build a business and earn all the commissions with Surge365, you will have to join as a Vortex Platinum.

Like other mlm opportunities, there are more qualifications and requirements that you must meet to receive the commissions, bonuses, and incentives, which I’ll discuss in detail in the compensation plan section of this Surge365 review.

As you can see, the cost to join Surge365 is not cheap or affordable. You must maintain an active status by paying the monthly membership fee to remain in business.

The expenses above do not include your time, marketing costs, travel expenses, and gas.

Other home-based businesses, such as Affiliate Marketing, you earn the commission on every sale, no need to be active and qualified.

To understand why mlm opportunity, such as Surge365, requires SBAs to stay active and qualified, you should read our discussion on the FTC MLM Guideline for more information.

Surge365 Compensation Plan

The Surge365 compensation plan pays based on the number of enrollments, not travel and vacation booking.

To qualify for all commissions, bonuses, and incentives, you must join under the Vortex Platinum and paying $499 with a $63.54 monthly membership fee.

I’ll provide a brief explanation of the Surge365 compensation plan below. To see the full version, just download a copy.

There is only one option to make money with Surge365: recruiting others to become a travel club member.

Make Money Selling Surge 365 Travel Club Membership

The first commissions to earn under the Surge365 compensation plan is Direct Sales.

Surge365 offers SBA the following direct commissions:

  • $15 for a sale of Vortex
  • $15 for each sale of Vortex Membership
  • $30 on a sale of Vortex Platinum

Make Money Recruiting Others To Join Surge365

The best option to make money with Surge365 is building a big team.

Surge365 provides two types of team commissions: Override and Team Building Bonuses. However, you must be a qualified SBA to earn these commissions.

Team Override Commissions

First, you must have 3 personal sales of the Vortex products to qualify for override commission.

Once you are qualified to earn override (QTO), you can earn between $5 to $80 of override commissions on each sale of the Vortex products determined by your rank as a Team Builder and the rank of your team member.

As a QTO, you also earn $2.00 Team Builder residual paid on the monthly subscription fee.

Team Builder Bonuses

The first team builder bonus is the $150 Fast Start Bonus. You will receive this bonus when you personally make a total of three (3) sales of any Vortex product in your first 8 days as an SBA.

You can also earn a $1,000 Team Builder Bonus by personally making a total of fourteen (14) points in sales within the first 30 days as an SBA. The points are earned as follows:

  • A Vortex sale counts as one (1) point.
  • A Vortex Membership sale counts as one (1) point.
  • A Vortex Platinum sale counts as two (2) points.

There are other team builder bonuses, commissions, and incentives that require more recruiting to qualify. You should refer to the compensation plan for more information.

As you can see, the Surge 365 compensation plan is built on recruiting others. If you want to continue making money with Surge 365, your team needs to keep growing.

You can potentially earn nothing with Surge365 because the monthly costs to maintain the membership and qualified status might exceed the commissions received from recruiting activities.

Can You Make Money with Surge365?

To answer this question, you need to look at the Surge365 income disclosure statement (IDS).

The IDS is a financial document that reports SBAs’ commissions received from Surge365.

But, how can you get a copy of the IDS?

You can request one at the time of enrollment. The law requires Surge365 to provide you a copy together with the compensation plan.

If Surge 365 refuses to provide you a copy of the income disclosure statement, don’t join.

However, here’s a copy of the income disclosure statement for you to use with this Surge365 review.

Surge365 SBA Income

When we look at the footnote of the Surge365 income disclosure statement, we can tell that the annual average income of all Surge365 SBAs is only $433.78.

Before you get excited and concluded, “Yes, I can make money with Surge365!” I like to point out that this is the gross income, before taking out taxes and expenses.

What happens if you deduct the business expenses from the commissions? (Just the monthly membership fee, the $63.54)

Well, the majority of Surge365 SBAs made no money after deducting the business expenses.

Based on the information from the income disclosure statement, I can tell you that your chance of making a profit with Surge365 is near zero.

Why I am so confident?

Because the SBA annual average income was only $433.78. How can this be a profitable business opportunity?

Surge365 business opportunity is not profitable.

Don’t you want to know why?

Because the Surge 365 compensation plan is designed to sell travel memberships.

Just go back and review the compensation plan discussion above, why you think SBAs must join as a Vortex Platinum to earn all the commissions, bonuses, and incentives?

Is Surge365 A Scam?

Surge365 is an mlm business opportunity.

Every business opportunity has risks. As an investor, you are responsible for researching, studying, and investigating Surge 365 before investing.

Reading Surge365 Review is a good way to learn the risks and rewards associated with this home-based business opportunity.

As the owner of an Online Business Review, I have evaluated hundreds of mlm businesses to help investors identified and discover the right opportunity to make money from home.

It’s true that Surge365 is not a scam, but this business opportunity doesn’t seem to be profitable.

Is Surge365 A Pyramid Scheme?

Surge365 will tell you that the company is not a pyramid scheme, because they are in compliance with the FTC guidelines.

But as an entrepreneur, you must examine the Surge 365 compensation plan together with the income disclosure statement when evaluating this mlm opportunity.

If you look at the Surge365 compensation plan, Small Business Owners are compensated based on the number of their recruits.

All SBAs are members of the Surge365 travel club, paying the membership fee to qualify for commissions and bonuses.

The more people join your team, the more money you make. This is how you build a pyramid.

You don’t have to agree with me that Surge365 is a pyramid scheme. But you can’t deny that the Surge 365 compensation plan was designed to turn you into a member, not a business owner.

Is Surge365 Worth It?

Today, people don’t need to join a travel club to receive discounts and rewards for online booking. You can get all of these benefits for free. For this reason, I don’t think Surge365 is worth it.

I don’t know how many people will pay $63.54 per month when they are only vacationing once or twice each year. This is not a smart investment.

The majority of people joining Surge365 are those looking for ways to make money from home. But the truth is, Surge 365 is selling you the hope and dream, not an actual profitable business.

Based on the income disclosure statement, it is unlikely that you will achieve financial freedom with Surge365.

However, the decision to join Surge365 is yours.

Let me ask you this,

Surge365 is in the business of selling travel club memberships. The company uses the mlm business model to recruit and turn people into members, not business owners.

To make money with Surge365, you must continuously enroll new members and build a big team, because your primary business revenue comes from recruiting, not selling.

If you are not a good recruiter, you are unlikely to make money with Surge 365.

There are other profitable home-based business opportunities that do not require face-to-face selling or recruiting, such as my #1 choice: Affiliate Marketing. You should investigate this business opportunity before joining mlm.
