What Is Aloette?

Aloette is a privately held multilevel marketing (mlm) company that has been in operation for over 41 years. The company offers all-natural aloe vera-based products, specializing in advanced skincare and makeup.

Aloette was founded by Tricia Defibaugh in 1978 in pursuit of her passion for selling cosmetics and to help women become the CEO of their own businesses.

Aloette distributes and sells its beauty products through an mlm network of independent consultants operating throughout the US and Canada.

The company estimated sales revenue is $53 million.

But, Aloette doesn’t offer the income disclosure statement (IDS). This financial document provides important information regarding the consultants’ earnings and income.

From my experiences, an mlm company that doesn’t release the IDS is a Reflag. Aloette is hiding something from us. It could be that consultants are not making money.

You must carefully consider and compare the Aloette consultant business with other home-based business opportunities before investing.

You can use My #1 Business Opportunity to make a comparison.

How To Join Aloette?

You will need a sponsor to join Aloette. If you don’t have one, you can visit the Aloette website, and the company will assign a local sponsor.

Your sponsor can help you complete the process of starting your Aloette Consultant business by selecting a Starter Kit.

Purchasing a starter kit is not enough. If you want to build a business and earn commissions with Aloette, you must maintain an active and qualified status.

Active and qualified require consultants to meet the monthly sales quota, which I’ll discuss in the next section of this Aloette Consultant review.

How Much Does It Cost To Join Aloette?

The cost to join Aloette Consultant depends on your selection of a starter kit. Aloette offers three starter kits with prices of $39, $99, and $199.

Aloette Consultant review starter kit

Each starter kit comes with products, marketing materials, and your own replicated Aloette website.

There is an additional cost for the replicated website after 60 days. You can choose the $144 yearly subscription or $15 per month.

Besides the initial investments, there are expenses to stay in business and receive the commissions.

Aloette requires consultants to maintain an active and qualified status.

To remain active, all Aloette consultants are required to place a Personal Order of at least $200 every 4 months, $50 per month.

To qualify for override commissions, consultants are required to recruit 3 active beauty consultants.

As you can see, the cost to join the Aloette Consultant is not $39. You must also include the cost to stay active and qualified.

You must pay attention to the monthly Active and Qualified Expenses.

Aloette Consultant is a Pay and Play business opportunity. If you want to earn, you have to pay.

Any consultant that fails to maintain the minimum sales quota is not allowed to receive the bonuses and override commissions from Aloette.

The expenses above do not include your time, marketing costs, travel expenses, and gas.

The active and qualified expenses can destroy your business profit if you cannot resell the products. They become business losses.

In other home-based businesses, such as Affiliate Marketing, you earn the commission on every sale, no need to be active and qualified.

Do you know why Aloette has active and qualified requirements?

To sell products and to avoid being classified as a pyramid scheme under the FTC guideline. (Check our discussion on the FTC MLM Guideline for further detail.)

Aloette Compensation Plan

The Aloette doesn’t offer a clear compensation plan to consultants.

This alone is a warning to all of you looking to join Aloette.

I’ll provide a quick analysis of the Aloette compensation plan. To see it in detail, just download a copy.

As an mlm opportunity, Aloette consultants have two ways to earn: selling Products and/or building a team.

Make Money Selling Aloette Products

Aloette consultants can either purchase products at a discount price to resell, or they can direct customers to purchase from the replicated website to earn a retail commission.

New Aloette consultants start out at the 25% commission on all sales. The commission increases to 30% when the consultant achieves a $4,000 sales volume and 35% after achieving $6,000 in sales.

But the question is, can you make a profit selling Aloette products on the market?

I did a search online and found a lot of Aloette products dumping online for as low as
$4.

Looking at the company’s website, the average retail price for Aloette products is around $30.

It will be a challenge for consultants to make money.

Overprice is the reason why consultants have a hard time earning a profit selling products.

Make Money Recruiting Consultants

It seems the best way to make money with Aloette is to recruit others to join your team.

As long as you are active and qualified, here are your override commissions.

Team Commissions

You can earn 4.5% or 6% of the team sales volume.

However, to receive the team commissions, you must personally recruit 3 active beauty consultants.

What’s unclear is how Aloette calculates the commission.

You can assume that you start earning a 4.5% team commission with 3 recruits. But how to get to 6% commission is unknown.

There are other leadership bonuses and incentives which require more purchasing of Aloette overpriced products to qualify. You can refer to the compensation plan
for more information.

As you can see, there are multiple ways to earn as an Aloette consultant. But to get paid, you must order more products to meet the qualification requirements.

This is how mlm works. Ways to earn is not the same as qualifying to receive the money.

You can potentially earn nothing with Aloette because the costs to stay active and qualified might exceed the commissions received.

Can You Make Money As An Aloette Consultant?

The compensation plan is not the document that tells us the consultants’ actual income.

Here’s what I mean,

The Aloette compensation plan explains the ways consultants can earn. It offers POTENTIAL EARNINGS.

To know the actual income, you need a copy of the Aloette income disclosure statement (IDS). This financial document provides ACTUAL INCOMES that consultants received from Aloette Consultant.

But, where can you get a copy of the IDS?

You can request one at the time of enrollment. The law requires Aloette to provide you a copy together with the compensation plan.

As a business review writer, I look to the actual incomes to advise clients on an investment.

If Aloette refuses to provide you with a copy of the income disclosure statement, don’t join. This is a sign of a scam.

Aloette Consultants’ Income

You don’t need a copy of Aloette income disclosure to know that 99% of mlm businesses failed.

Why?

Because mlm compensation plans are not designed for consultants to earn. They are designed for the mlm company to make money.

Just go back to the compensation plan section of this Aloette consultant review and look at the active and qualified requirements. These requirements are designed to force consultants to purchase Aloette products.

Aloette doesn’t release an income disclosure statement should be a warning to all investors.

The company doesn’t want you to know the truth. Maybe consultants are not making money promoting Aloette.

Is Aloette A Scam?

Yes, Aloette is hiding the consultants’ earnings from us. This action might be unethical, but Aloette is not a scam.

Aloette is a business opportunity. Every business has risks.

You are responsible for carefully researching, studying, and investigating the Aloette consultant business before investing.

If you become a consultant without asking for a copy of the income disclosure statement, then you cannot call Aloette a scam.

Reading this Aloette Consultant Review is a good way to learn the risks and rewards associated with this mlm business opportunity.

Many entrepreneurs hire professional financial analysts to evaluate business profitability and loss before investing.

As the owner of an Online Business Review, I have evaluated hundreds of mlm businesses to help investors identify and manage the risks.

Aloette is not a scam.

It is a high-risk and unprofitable business opportunity. You can potentially lose all your investment.

Is Aloette A Pyramid Scheme?

Mlm companies are legit if they follow the FTC guideline.

Aloette might be legit under the law, but I don’t evaluate an mlm company based on the laws.

I look at the compensation plan to determine if an mlm is a pyramid scheme.

I say Aloette is a pyramid scheme.

If you look at the Aloette compensation plan, consultants are forced to purchase overpriced products to earn the commission.

The only way to make money as an Aloette consultant is by recruiting others, not selling products.

The more people that you recruit, the more money you make.

Consultants become the primary customers purchasing Aloette products.

Doesn’t this make Aloette a pyramid scheme?

Well, you don’t have to agree with me.

But you cannot deny that Aloette is hiding the truth about their business opportunity.

It is not easy for consultants to make money with Aloette, and the company compensation plan was designed to turn consultants into customers, not business owners.

You will not get rich with Aloette.

Is Aloette Consultant Worth It?

If you enjoy using Aloette products, then joining Aloette might be worth it for the discount.

But if you are looking to make money from home, then Aloette consultant is not worth it.
