What Is Morinda?
Morinda is a private mlm company that develops, manufactures, and sells noni extract products. The company marketing catchphrase, “noni is all we do.”
Morinda was established in 1995 as Morinda Inc. and operated under the name, Tahitian Noni International, AKA Tahitian Noni Juice.
The company distributes and sells its products in over 70 countries using an mlm business model.
The company sales revenue reached $230 million in 2018.
However, Morinda distributors earned a monthly average income of only $45.59 for the same year.
Morinda is a high-risk investment with low success rate.
You must evaluate and compare Morinda business with other home-based opportunities before investing.

Become A Morinda Distributor
You need a sponsor to become a Morinda Distributor, an Independent Product Consultant (IPC).
If you don’t have a sponsor, you can still visit the company website to submit an IPC application, and the company will assign you a sponsor.
You are required to purchase a Product Pack to launch a Morinda business.
But to earn the bonuses and commissions, you must be active and qualified, which I’ll discuss more in the compensation section of this Morinda review.
The Costs to Become A Morinda Distributor
The cost to become a Morinda distributor is between $299 to $365 depending on the Starter Pack that you decided to purchase.
Besides purchasing a Starter Pack to join, there are expenses related to operating your Morinda mlm business.
One major expense is the monthly IPC Qualified Expense.
Morinda distributors are required to maintain a minimum of 30 QPV (Qualifying Personal Volume) by purchasing a 1L bottle of Original Beverage or other products equivalent to $40 each month to stay qualified and earn commissions.
The monthly Qualified Expense increases to 120 QPV as you move up to leadership rank. This requires you to purchase a case (4 bottles) of 1L Original Beverage or other products equivalent to $140 each month.
The monthly Qualified Expense is known as, “Pay and Play!” If you want to earn, you have to pay.
Any distributor that fails to maintain the Qualified Status will not receive bonuses or commissions.
The expenses above do not include your time, marketing costs, traveling, and gas.
The monthly qualified expense can destroy your business profit because if you cannot resell the products, it becomes a business loss.
Other home-based businesses, such as Affiliate Marketing, you earn a commission on every sale, no qualification required.

Morinda Compensation Plan
Morinda claims that its compensation plan designed to help you develop your own prosperous businesses.
This sound very noble. But, Is this for real?
We will analyze the Morinda compensation plan to find out the truth.
I’ll provide an overview of the Morinda compensation plan. To see it in detail, just download a copy.
Before we start, I need to explain the way Morinda calculates the commission.
Commissions are calculated using the Commissionable Volume (CV).
The CV is points assigned to each product by Morinda, same as PV.
For example, you sold a case of Tahitian Noni Juice for $140 with 120 CV.
If the commission is 20%, you will earn $24 (120CV x 20%), not $28.
This means, on a $140 sale, the actual commission is only 17.14%. I hope you can see this scam.
Now, let review this Morinda compensation plan.
Like other mlm opportunities, you have two venues to earn wit Morinda: Sell Products and/or recruiting others to join.
Make Money Selling Morinda Products
Morinda distributors can either purchase products to resell or selling directly from their own Morinda replicated website to earn a retail profit.
This sounds simple, right?
Well, Let see.
I did a search online and found a bottle of Tahitian noni juice selling for $29 with free shipping.
The same bottle on Morinda website selling for $40.00.
Overprice is the reason why you can never earn a retail profit selling mlm product on the market.
It will be a challenge for distributors to make money selling Morinda products.
Make Money Recruiting Others
You have several ways to earn from recruiting others into Morinda.
Remember, you must purchase between $40 to $140 each month to qualify for these commissions and bonuses.
I will only discuss the primary bonuses and downline commissions. There are other leadership and trip bonuses which you can refer to the Morinda compensation plan for more info.
Fast Start Bonus (FSB)
This is a Morinda popular bonus which the company aggressively promotes to all new distributors.
FSB is earned in the first 60 days upon enrollment.
Morinda offers you between 5% to 20% FSB commission on all commissionable volume orders by your newly sponsored IPCs up to 5 generations.
But you must participate in the Case AutoShip (CAS) program, which required a monthly order of 120 QPV, about $140, to qualify for this bonus.
Personal Rebate (PR)
You earn a 20% commission on orders over 120 QPV each month.
This means you earn no commission on the first $140 order.
Basically, you spend $140 each month to receive a promise of 20% from Morinda.
Downline Commissions (Residual Incomes)
You earn Downline Commission between 1% to 8%, paying up to 8 levels.
However, you must be qualified and participate in the CAS program. Below are the qualification requirements to earn residual commissions.
As you can see, there are multiple ways to earn. But no money is paid unless you are active and qualified.
This is the trick with mlm. Ways to earn is not the same as qualifying to receive the money.
Qualification requires more product purchases or recruiting more people.
You can potentially earn nothing under Morinda compensation plan because the costs to maintain active and qualified exceeded the bonuses and commissions received.
Therefore, when evaluating mlm opportunity like Morinda, we cannot rely on the compensation plan to determine the distributor’s income.
You must look at the actual bonuses and commissions received to understand the business profit and loss.
Can You Make Money With Morinda?
Don’t make the mistake of looking at the Morinda compensation plan and jump to the conclusion, “Yes, I can make money with Morinda.”
Here’s what I mean,
The Morinda compensation plan offers POTENTIAL EARNINGS, a guess or an estimate.
To know the actual income, you need a copy of the Income Disclosure Statement.
The Morinda Income Disclosure Statement (IDS) provides ACTUAL INCOMES received by distributors from Morinda.
How get a copy of Morinda IDS?
You can request a copy at the time of enrollment. The laws require Morinda to provide you copy together with the compensation plan.
As a business review writer, I look to the actual incomes to advise clients on an investment.
If Morinda refuses to provide you a copy, don’t join. This is a sign of a potential scam.

Incomes Earned By Morinda Distributors
I start looking at the footnotes first when analyzing IDS.
According to Morinda, 48.35% of all active IPCs did not earn any commissions.
IPCs are mostly first-year distributors. This figure tells us that 48.35% of Morinda distributors failed within their first year in the business.
Before you get excited and concluded that over 50% of distributors made money with Morinda. I like to point out to you that these are gross commissions, before taxes and expenses.
What happens if we deduct the expenses?
Let just use the qualified expenses, $140 a month.
Only 41.87% of Morinda distributors earned enough to cover the cost of purchasing products.
When we consider other business expenses, the percentage of distributors achieve breakeven dropped to 5.38%.
This is the same as saying that 94.62% of Morinda distributors did not make money in 2018.
You must achieve the Pearl rank to earn an average gross income of $2,000.84 each month. But only 0.91%, less than 1%, of Morinda distributors earned at this level.
After reviewing Morinda IDS, I can tell you that your chance of making money with Morinda as a first-year distributor is less than 1%.
Why I am so confident?
Because only 0.91% of Morinda distributors earned enough money to cover their business expenses in 2018. How can you possibly achieve the top 1% earners in your first year?
Is Morinda A Scam?
Yes, Morinda uses the compensation plan to convince you to join the business opportunity. But you cannot call Morinda a scam.
Morinda is a business opportunity. Every business has risks.
You are responsible to carefully research, study, and investigate Morinda before joining.
If you become a Morinda brand partner without doing proper researches, then you cannot call Morinda a scam.
Reading this Morinda Review is a good way to learn the risks and rewards associated with Morinda.
Sometimes entrepreneurs have to hire professional financial analysts to evaluate the business profitable.

I use a different guideline to determine a pyramid scheme.
I don’t agree that Morinda is not a pyramid scheme.
Why?
Well, looks at the company compensation plan. Distributors are forced to purchase overpriced products to earn the commission.
The only way to sell Morinda products is by recruiting others into the business.
The more people that you bring into the program, the more money you earn.
The primary customers of most mlm companies are their distributors, those seeking to make money with Morinda.
Recruiting is the way to get promoted and make money with Morinda.
Doesn’t this make Morinda a pyramid scheme?
You don’t have to agree with me.
But, based on our Morinda Review, you must accept that Morinda is not designed for you to build a prosperous business.
The Morinda compensation plan was designed to make money for Morinda, not to fulfill your dream.

You should have enough information to make this decision yourselves, after reading this Morinda review.
I don’t consider Morinda is a good home-based business opportunity.
I’ll never join or start a business knowing over 94% will fail.
